I had a go at making a little hat with a flower. Not perfect again, but it’s sweet. I used my extruder to make the long snake lengths so they were all the same thickness and then just plated by turning the 2 lengths together in my fingers.
Petal Fairy House on a Cork – A Little Disaster
Yesterday I attempted to make a lovely little petal fairy house, using a cork from a bottle of wine, it all seemed to go well until……… ……I baked it this morning. Sadly it has cracked in several places, I think it could be salvageable, it gives it character I think. I may try filling in …
Green Fairy Door
The other day I thought I would have another go at making another fairy door, hobbit style. It turned out better than I thought. I found that my butterfly cane looked really effective but once it baked it seemed to have lost its brightness. Maybe a touch of matt/gloss varnish will bring it to life.
Painting with Polymer Clay Part 2
I thought I would show you my finished result of my first attempt at painting with Polymer Clay. I have now added the backing with allows for a slight trim all the way round the design to give it a framed look. I am pleased with the outcome, it isn’t perfect by any means but …
Painting with Polymer Clay
I’m speechless 🙊 that, doesn’t happen often 😲 that I’ve made this myself out of clay. I just need to try and get the dimple out of the sun. Then bake. Then add a slight frame around it. 😲😲😲❤❤❤ I followed Fiona Abel-Smith tutorial see link below. https://youtu.be/DjrEI7KyvQI
Fairy House Needle Bottle
I’ve been playing around with an idea to use little bottles for storage of my cross stitch needles. This is prototype number one, so it isn’t perfect in anyway at all. I have used mainly white polymer clay by Fimo and coloured the clay with soft pastel chalks. The door and windows were green coloured …
Anyone for a Chocolate Tart
I am having a go at making a chocolate tart, but the heat in my attic room is making the clay too soft so I’ve stopped for a little while.
Final post for tonight – I need to go to bed
Here are my prototypes for needleminders or fridge magnets. Plus a small thread organiser for cross stitchers.
Here are some of my other recent pieces
I thought while I was taking photos tonight, I’d retake these in my little photo booth I’ve set up in my attic. I hope you like them. Leave a comment if you do, telling me what’s your favourite.
Here’s my Fairy Door I made yesterday
I’ve taken 2 photos tonight of my fairy door, with and without a cat, with no face. I might have a dabble with putting a face on it tomorrow, but it’s too late tonight. I’m not sure the size is right to be honest, your thoughts?, leave a comment.
